Jaimie Cox Memorial Scholarship

Officer Jaimie Cox, a Hononegah Community High School graduate, lost his life on November 5, 2017, while serving and protecting the community of Rockford, Illinois.
Jaimie also proudly served in the United States National Guard. Jaimie was a kind, hardworking individual who selflessly dedicated his life to serving others.
The objective of this scholarship is to honor Jaimie’s memory by awarding an individual with a similar work ethic; one who is committed to the service of others as Jaimie was.
The $1,000.00 scholarship will be awarded to two HCHS senior students, interested in pursuing a career in emergency services in the following areas: Law Enforcement, Fire Sciences, Emergency Medical Technician, or Nursing.
Applications must be submitted by APRIL 24th, 2021. Applications are available in HCHS Student Support Services Office or downloaded in (pdf) from this page.
The Jaimie Cox Memorial Scholarship was established by the Rockton Police Association (R.P.A.) and Caitlin Cox & Family.
Donations to the JCMS Fund can be made at the Rockton Police Department by check made payable to: RPA-Jaimie Cox Scholarship. Cash donations can be made directly to the scholarship account at Advia Credit Union in Rockton.
