Officer Cure grew up in Oak Forest, Illinois. She
graduated from Oak Forest High School where she was
involved in competitive swimming and cheerleading.
Officer Cure attended Robert Morris College and
graduated with an Associates Degree in Business
Management with honors. While in college, Officer
Cure worked as an Assistant Swim Coach and taught
swim lessons. Officer Cure worked as the Production
Manager of EMS in Palos Hills, Illinois for over
nine years before joining the Rockton Police
Department in June 2003. She attended Illinois State
Police Academy and graduated in September 2003,
where she was the recipient of the Physical Fitness
Award and recognized as the most physically fit for
her law enforcement class. Officer Cure's
certifications include Juvenile Officer, DARE K-8,
School Resource Officer, Bike Officer, Domestic
Violence Instructor, Breathalizer Operator, Safety
Car Seat Technician and is SAFETY KIDS program
certified. Officer Cure's husband, Rob, is a
Rockford City police officer and they have been
married since 1996. They have three daughters,
Amanda, Nichole and Kyra.
